A Hub for Hope & Healing
At the Karsh Family Social Service Center, thousands of Angelenos find food, health care, legal support, and community. Karsh is a trusted home where dignity is honored, essential needs are met, and new horizons unfold.
Lend your hands and your heart and join us in creating real change for real people, one neighbor at a time.

Serving the Neighborhood and Beyond
Karsh serves a multilingual community made up of primarily working families in Mid-Wilshire and surrounding areas. Most are immigrants navigating complex challenges, and Karsh is often their first trusted point of contact for vital care and support.
With the opening of The Karsh Tikkun Olam Social Service Center (Karsh West) at our Resnick Family Campus in Brentwood, we're now bringing a new volunteer hub to the Westside, broadening our reach while staying deeply local.
Program Pillars
At Karsh, care is comprehensive and human-centered. We serve individuals and families with dignity and respect, offering:
- Food and Nutrition: Weekly distributions, seasonal drives, and mobile outreach to fight food insecurity
- Health and Wellness: Vision and dental care, mental health support, and healthcare screening
- Family Support: Parenting workshops, school readiness resources, and case management
- Community Services: Legal aid, ESL classes, digital access, and more
- Volunteer Engagement: Hands-on volunteer activities, learning and training, special events

Powered by People Like You
Wilshire members and talented individuals from across the city are the heart of the Karsh Center volunteer corps. From running the food pantry and packing groceries to offering legal advice and assisting with ESL classes, Karsh volunteers turn intention into action every day.
Whether you’re showing up for a one-time event or making an ongoing commitment, there’s a role for everyone, from teens to retirees, families to professionals.

Real Impact, Every Day
Karsh isn’t just a center; it’s a catalyst for change. Every meal packed, every diaper distributed, every service offered is a step toward equity, health, and human connection. Through strategic partnerships with collaborator organizations and a growing network of volunteers, Karsh is a powerful engine for good.
