This cohort of students interacts on a regular basis, allowing for the development of a strong feeling of community and greater involvement in content. By actively “becoming” Biblical heroes, learning their strengths and values, children adapt ancient stories to modern times. Working in small cooperative groups, children develop a greater understanding of their place in the community and how their actions affect the world.
In Erez groups, we utilize the scientific methods of the Hineni program of Hebrew language instruction. The children’s participation in t’filah takes on greater meaning as they develop their prayer skills and practice them as a community.
